Who We Are

VOB108 is a group of Veteran Owned Business owners in Dayton Ohio, working together to win government contracts. We are; a support group, peer-networking group that meets every other Thursday.

We welcome all veterans and veteran small business owners especially. Our organization is one devoted to “building bridges, not walls”, within the private and public business arena. This is done by networking within and outside of VOB108. Please join us at one of our lunch meetings or contact any of the members to learn more about VOB108.


VOB108 meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month at noon unless other wise announced. We meet at DeVry University- Dayton Center, .

The first meeting of the month is our open general teaming meeting lasting 2 hours, we begin promptly at noon.

The second meeting of the month is an executive board meeting lasting 1 hour, and we begin promptly at noon. All members are welcome.

We offer lunch for $5 a head.

IG’s Report on VOB-SDVOB Biz Fraud

The VA’s Office of Inspector General  released a report on Monday,
25-July 2011, detailing the fraud found in their inspection of the
VOSB and SDVOSB VA’s procurement/award program.  According
to the report nearly 76% of the selected 42 companies reviewed
were “either ineligible to participate in the programs or
for the awarded contracts “.  The entire 53 page

After reading the findings you may understand why the VA has instituted
their stringent certification process for both VOSB’s and SDVOSB’s.

The Vet Academy training classes at Wright State Univ are in full swing.
Meeting are in Rike Hall , on WSU campus on Tuesday evenings from
1800 Hrs to 2100 Hrs from now until 16-Sept ’11.  Also, the SW Ohio
PTAC office will be holding the all -day VOB/SDVOB conference at
Clark State CC , Fairborn campus, on Thursday, 21-July ’11, from
800 Hrs to 1600 hrs.  Registration is recommended and cost is $65/
person, and includes lunch.  Register at:

Because of these scheduled training classes and the PTAC Vet event
VOB108 normal second Thursday, monthly meetings will be on HOLD
for the months of July and August 2011.  Our resources can’t support
all the classes and scheduled events this Summer.  The next scheduled
VOB108.org General Meeting will be Thursday, 8-Sept 2011 at Noon to
1400 Hrs.  Check the VOB108.org website later next month for more
details on this meeting.
