This procurement opportunity would be an excellent event to attend in order to meet the actual government buyers face to face. I attend many of these events throughout the year and find them a crucial element of an effective marketing plan. Especially as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) company it is very important to present your capabilities directly to a person that may have an opportunity that matches your abilities. It would be nice if these events, especially this one by the Department of Justice (DOJ), were held in other locations other than Washington, D.C. so that many more SDVOSB companies can have the same opportunity as afforded to those firms that live locally (a four hour event on the East coast is a costly, and time consuming, event for those of us on the West coast). Currently the government does not even come close to obtain the mandatory goal of 3% in issuing contracts to SDVOSB businesses because there are not enough qualified, or educated (trained) SDVOSB firms. Kevcon, Inc. is a SDVOSB and DVBE company with over 20 years of experience in government contracting with adequate bonding capacity and lines of credit to successfully execute contracts.
