VOB-108, a Dayton-based organization of veteran business owners, announces a status update on veteran services in Ohio by Col Thomas Moe,  Director of Ohio Department of Veteran Services.   Col Moe will speak Thursday, October 13 at a luncheon at the Hope Hotel.  Reservations can be made at www.vob108.org/vetbiznow   or by calling  937.228.4433. Cost is $25 for the event that begins at 11:30. Members of VOB108 pay $15
Col Moe retired from the US Air Force after 30 years of service and was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame in 2009. He has served as the Director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services since January 10, 2011. He headed the “Ohio Veterans for McCain” organization during the 2008 election, having served with Senator McCain in the “Hanoi Hilton” in Vietnam.
VOB108 is a group of Veteran Owned Business owners in Dayton Ohio, working together to win government contracts. VOB108 meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month in Dayton at DeVry University to support the veteran business owner.
The organization is devoted to “building bridges, not walls”, within the private and public business arena. This is done by networking within and outside of VOB108. They have tax exempt status as a 501c6 organization. They welcome all veterans and veteran business owners.

Director of Dayton VA Medical Center to speak to VOB108

Glenn A. Costie, FACHE, CEO/Medical Center Director of the Dayton VA Medical Center will be the featured speaker of our February Teaming Meeting, Thursday Feb 9, 2012 from noon to 2pm at DeVry University- Dayton Center, 3610 Pentagon Blvd., Dayton, OH 45431.

He’ll share his vision for the Dayton VA, and discuss ways he can work with VOBs on upcoming construction projects as well as to learn about our mission and discuss ways VOB108 can work with the VA to continue our mission:

VOB108 will be Ohio’s primary organization for providing services to veteran’s on starting/managing their own business, educating local/federal communities on working with veteran owned business, and advocating for legislative change that will provide greater flexibility in buying direct from veteran owned businesses.
